Offizielle Kursbeschreibung: As a complement to the seminar “Ubadaukoloni”, the course will approach the development of postcolonial practices from independence to contemporary times, focusing mainly on literature in Swahili. Besides the learning outcomes to be achieved in the complementary course, the students will develop specific skills related to the language knowledge, which involve undertaking and presenting literary works in Swahili, making use of a variety of resources in Swahili and constructing personal academic argumentation in Swahili. The course aims at enhancing the students’ appreciation of literature as an art work as well as a means of discovering social-awareness.
