Offizielle Kursbeschreibung:
The seminar looks at the International Style and interculturality in the New Kingdom and also the states beyond Egypt. It will cover themes such as material and visual hybridity, artistic reception and acculturation, as well as Art Historical methodologies like the identification of style.  It will also look at issues of the social and political context, such as the ethnicity of craftspeople, technology exchange, international diplomacy and the effect on Egyptian royal rhetoric.
