Overview

Due to the ongoing pandemic, there will be a number of restrictions during the winter semester 2020/21. Teaching will still be characterised by social distancing requirements and other measures designed to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Each faculty and each institute has developed its own individual approach to organising teaching, taking into account the relevant hygiene and safety regulations.

Since limited room space means that courses cannot be held with the usual number of participants, there will be a variety of teaching formats:
1. Face-to-face teaching: sessions will take place as usual on campus and be subject to the hygiene rules.
2. Hybrid teaching: sessions will take place partly on campus and partly online (small groups, block seminars, etc.)
3. Online teaching: sessions will be exclusively digital. Some of these courses will be taught in real time, while others will be prepared or recorded in advance before being made available to students.

Please check the individual module information in your course catalogue, which may have details of the planned teaching formats. If a course will not be taught face-to-face, the course lecturer will inform participants of this after the module registration period by sending an email to their student email account.
